  11. A REMEDY FOR TIGHT DISK SPACE

  13. PHILADELPHIA, JAN. 18, 1994 -  Philadelphia, the city which brought
  14. you the soft pretzel, the cheese steak and the Fresh Prince. The
  15. only city where you can say "whiz with?" to a burly gentleman and
  16. not get punched. This fine city is now the birth place of yet
  17. another technological advance- LipoDoc

  19. LipoDoc is an effective and inexpensive means of easing overcrowding
  20. on your hard drive. LipoDoc allows you to reduce the space required
  21. by your online documentation by 50%-75%. Even though the documentation
  22. is compressed, LipoDoc allows you to access it almost as fast as
  23. uncompressed documentation. Also, Digital Librarian searches are
  24. just as fast as ever. LipoDoc can easily and painlessly save you
  25. 20-30 megabytes of drive space or more, for much less than the cost
  26. of a new, larger drive. The more you compress, the more you'll
  27. save. In addition to compressing the online documentation, LipoDoc
  28. can be used to compress and index any collection of rtf and rtfd
  29. files you may have.

  32. you ask, having heard nightmarish stories of other compression
  33. utilities. Fear not, I say. The documentation is still there, and
  34. is compressed with standard compression utilities which are shipped
  35. with NEXTSTEP. LipoDoc does not use any sort of virtual file or
  36. volume compression schemes.
